Xable I'm kind of curious where you live now....it is kinda fascinating when I think over my time on these boards how much of our different life experiences have to do with the regional differences/cultures where we live..

I live in the South, in Texas.

The observation about the facial hair was based on photos from online profiles. I was actually kind of shocked to noticed that the majority seemed to have facial hair. I also live around a lot of Air Force bases so when you do see clean shaven - they are usually in the military.

I do have a few theories - not all the most flattering or nice so I will leave those to myself. If you can't say anything nice...

I used to live in San Antonio in general, there are a lot of overweight people in Texas, and there are a lot more of the attitudes you describe, I think. However I met some very nice looking men in Texas, I had better luck in Austin

I sure did get a lot of dead deer and bird photos there...*swoon!* but I had my parameters to at least 300 miles...those East Texans are something else!

Spokane was actually much worse...

Since I'm overweight myself, you would think that would work in my favor. But, alas, it doesn't matter if you are overweight yourself - guys still don't want you. Actually, I have noticed that it is white overweight women in the area who have the hardest time.

I have a love hate relationship with those Austin guys. Whenever I find a guy I might think would work, he turns out to be be a little too liberal for me or a little too free with the pot.

LOL. My last serious boyfriend was a professor in Austin...fill in the blanks ... hahaha. You can bet on one of the serious issues we had... stupid stupid stupid. (on my part, for going past the second date!)

but now that you mention it yeah, I had some extreme choices there!
