One clue is you work them/their name into way too many coversations. "Bill says...." "Oh Bill likes that!" I actually called my best friend's husband by my bf's name. Guess who is on my mind.
For me personally, signs 1-4 wouldn't mean I'm in love, it would mean I like the guy in some way and there is potencial but could also be easily forgotten. Signs 5-8, yes that's more serious.
Oh okay then maybe not so sweet. I guess these could be signs of infatuation too.
The only difference between the beginning stages of romantic love and infatuation is which term is applied in retrospect depending on the outcome. It's only infatuation when it didn't work (or was unrequited) - no one calls it infatuation when does!
I'd say the signs are basically correct, but in my case, I never needed any help determining if I was in love. It could not have been more obvious to me!
Another one is a strong desire to tell everyone, even perfect strangers about her (or him, as the symptoms are basically the same for both sexes with one notable difference).
