If there’s any love lesson worth noting, it’s that sexiness has little to do with the way a person looks. What’s more, passion for a hobby—a love for something outside oneself—is incredibly alluring to the opposite sex.

First and last paragraphs? Fine. Men with personal interests that they commit time and energy to are indeed more attractive than workaholic drones or sofa-sitters.

Everything in between? Ridiculous pop-psych that again reduces men to "types".

Mr. Fix it, yes, but, I love the man who works all day, comes home, and then mows the yard, works on the car, and gets good and dirty!! Come in from working outside or from out of under the car, sexy to me, definitely sexy!!

You've got to be kidding!! Passion is sexy -- but not when directed toward inanimate objects like motorcycles, surfboards, or microphones. I agree with the others. This is nonsense, men. I'd say you'd be far better off to totally ignore this stuff.

Agree 100%!!! Hobbies and objects don't make a man sexy!

I disagree 100%!

Someone who has interests they are actively pursuing is a heck of a lotattractive tomethan someone who sits on the sofa and watches reality TV every evening! Someone who has taken the time to learn a skill, or become good at a sport or activity, or involved in his or her community is participating in life. Passion is a good thing. Where do you think it should be invested, only in YOU?

My current flame is a skilled wood worker who has made much of the furniture in his home and it is gorgeous. He's also been a sailor, backpacked all over Colorado, and is a kick-ass mountain biker. As well as a really nice guy. All those things make him much more interesting to me than the average football fan would be

Doesnt most dating advice boil down to "get yourself out there and become the most interesting you that you can be, then the opposite sex will be falling all over itself to get to know you?" How does this article differ? LOL

Having a hobby definitely makes a man more interesting. I am not attracted to men who have nothing going on in their lives other than workand television. Boring.

It would seem that we all share the same hobby. Posting on eHarmony Advice Discussion Boards.

I think many of us have other hobbies, as you can see on our profiles. I love these boards, but they are definitely not my hobby.
