What if you hate Speedos?

What is your reaction to speedos on men? Ordinarily In the States I view it as a cultural disconnect, not just an aesthetic horror, i.e., hopelessly incompatible in point of view as well as taste. (Hey, this is 12 years of early morning swim team practice talking!) But If a match is from another country, and everything is ok but for the photo of himself in a speedo, my outlook seems... stupid?

(Given my most recent move, I'm living surrounded by water in a warm climate - swimwear here is the equivalent of jeans everywhere else, jsyk.)

I pretty much think speedos are gross - unless he looks really great in them!! So there is some hypocrisy there for me! But I really don't want to see a profile pic of anyone in their underwear (or speedo)!

Yeah, I'm trying to equate it to other factors - say you close for bad hair plus bad jeans, does that equal a speedo alone.

I know this sounds as superficial as does the girl have big ones, but it is not the looks of these things that cause me to close - it is the indication of completely different interests and activities. Sounds lame, but I do not close cavalierly, trust me.

Normally, I would rule out anyone who has to post half-naked shots of themselves on their profile. Was this at least an additional photo and not the primary photo? But, since he is from another country, perhaps he gets a free pass. Europeans, for instance, have a much different aesthetic than Americans in that regard.

Say you met this man for dinner, would you be able to NOT think of him in his speedo regardless of what he was wearing at the restaurant? Maybe your answer to that will give you your final answer... ?

His body's not bad, I mean he's no Adonis but there's nothing particularly wrong with him, other than the fact that ANY body in a speedo is a mistake!

Ha ha! Yeah, his primary is a clothed shot! But now you have me worried he'll show up for the first meet in swimwear, and I'll spew wine/coffee/chlorinated water out my nose! I think I better pass...
