For the love of God. Is 12W even a real size? or is that the new vanity plus size?

To group a size 12 with 44 is just adding to the insecurity and vanity millions of women have about the tag on their jeans.

A size 12 is light years from a 44 and insulting to both groups, a 12 because a 12 is a normal size and a 44 because, if a 12 is still considered plus they might as well just give up.

that's cool though that they make boots for wide calves. Unfortunatley (or rather, fortunatley) I do not have wide calves. But I cannot find such cool boots for so reasonable! So in this instance it is unfortunate and I wonder how wide we are talking...

edit....they have some really nice clothes for good prices....it's kind of impressive, no one wants to be forced to wear sweat pants and mumums becuase there are no good choices.

12W is bigger than 12. It's about the same size as a 14-16 without the W. The "W" is supposed to stand for "woman" - as though any female who isn't plus sized isn't a woman. Vanity sizing is ridiculous.

Also, I completely agree about the hypocrisy of advertizing plus-sized clothes using non-plus-sized models. Clothes hang differently on different body types. How about letting people see the clothing on someone who's actually the right size to wear it?

They are. Sadly... they're not actually for sale on their site! Why the heck would they feature items on the article that they aren't selling? The mind boggles...

If they tried these outfits on curvy women they would run into problems.

The cute plaid dress? Okay, image that plaid with those flounces across a larger expanse. Yeah, not quite so cute. And adding the thickness of a furry vest when you are already well endowed, just no.

The boyfriend look is great on women who you look at and think "Wow, how adorable, they are swimming in that." For big and beautiful women the oversized outfits are going to just look huge, and they won't emphasize the curves at all.

The mini dress with tights, maybe, it depends on how toned your legs are. But I would bet you'd need the dress a little closer to the knee to look flattering.

And the red Mad Men jacket that hits right at the hips with jeans, yeah, that is not the best look on anyone with an hourglass shape.

I've noticed that companies that cater to bigger women that use bigger women in their ads make the women look attractive and sexy. And if I were in that size range that's the clothes I would want. (Now if I could just find a company that uses size 8 to 10 models to show their clothes, I would be all over that.)
