Stuck: it's not that it's offensive. maybe troll is the right word.

I dunno. there have been a few times when people post that the hairs stand up on the back of my neck and i get a warning*danger signal from my gut. I can find a few if you want- but i won't post the links here as a few are active members.

Troll vs offensive I can understand so no need to dig up an example; thanks though. My confusion may be due to mistaking the stars as a measure of offensiveness as opposed to simply one of agreement/disagreement. At least I hope I'm mistaken...

am i being unclear? I'm not talking about someone being offensive or the stars or agreement/disagreement- I'm commenting on some posts being... creepy.

anyway, the stars are from people who either find your post offensive or disagree with it, or just don't like you.

No, you're being perfectly clear. I guess I just haven't seen any of these posts.

I can see and understand why this would be the case.

As a man, I think I probably only recognize creepy behavior (of men towards women) when it is very blatant. The reason I asked about it in the first place is because I'm interested in understanding what qualifies as creepy in the less blatant cases.

ETA: And yes, some of the comments in this thread are helpful for that.
