Come on, be more open minded, maybe he could win you over with enough time.

I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I thought this was an interesting topic. Last night, one of my Facebook friends messaged me to say hello. This was a guy that I used to go to community college with. He hung around the fitness center where I worked at all the time. He seemed like a nice enough guy, although I didn't know him outside of college. Anyway, he messaged me by saying, "I hope this doesn't freak you out, but I have always found you very attractive!" Told me that I had sexy eyes and so forth. Well, this did kind of freak me out, because I have never gotten "hit on" by a dude. Although I took it in stride and said, "Hey man, thanks I appreciate that!" Honestly, that part was a little weird but the next stuff weirded me out much more. He told me that he had a crush on me ever since we were in college and that he had thought maybe I was gay as well. He went on to say if he even had a hunch that I was, and this was his exact words, he said, "I would have been all over that!"

OK, that part freaked me out quite a bit! Now, I hope this does not offend our gay or lesbian members that we might happen to have on this board (if any.) But, I'll say that I have gay friends, and they know I am straight and they know I would never be with a member of the same sex. They are cool with that and I am cool with them. However, even after I told this guy that I was 100% straight, he kept asking me if I was sure and if I had ever considered being with a guy or would I consider being with a guy. At that point, I felt pressured and politely ended the conversation.

So now, it got me thinking. If this guy had thoughts that maybe I was gay back then, am I giving those vibes off to women? Now, I'm not a manly man per se, but I'm not an extremely sensitive guy either. I don't have a deep "Trace Adkins" type of voice, but I don't think I sound feminine when I speak either. I am a very sociable guy who jokes around a lot...maybe like a Conan O'Brien type? I guess his personality would probably fit mine (of course minus the tall red hair...lol!) A lot of people on here seem to think I'm a good looking guy who should have no problem attracting women, so what if it is something like this that is making women think I'm gay? I honestly can't believe I'm typing this right now, as it's kind of hilarious to me but at the same time it's not..lol! And, I live in a small town, so what if maybe word had gotten around that people assumed I was gay and that women in my area just assumed it was true? Obviously if they took time to get to know me, they would realize I am as straight as straight can be! Soooo....what do you think about that? Has any of you who are straight ever gotten hit on by the same sex? How did it make you feel?
I had a feeling that goatee thread was going to get you a lot of offers.
