I started taking a new (low dose) BC method in early February. Since my last bf was unable to produce children, we didn't use any.

Besides a week of early afternoon naps (well past that now) I have begun to channel my grandmother and her cleaning abilities. Everything from shampooing my carpets to scrubbing down the walls and cabinets in my kitchen to not being able to leave any dirty dishes out (even water glasses) overnight. My mind (or body, not sure which yet) won't allow me to go more than a week without vacuuming or sweeping or dusting.

A few friends (mainly men) have told me I'm "nesting". I can only assume it is from the hormones. I'm in my mid 30's and have never been this much of a "clean freak".

Did any other women out there have this happen? Could it just be my age? Anyone with a similar story?

I was on BC pills continuously for about 20 years - from 18 onward. I don't remember ever having this happen to me. Toward the end I did have a decrease in appetite, if you know what I mean, and I chose to have a bi-lateral tubal ligation after child #3 was born. I was done having children, and I have never regretted the decision.

Like D_Lion, I, too, am in need of a housecleaner. I pay very well. Can I book you for Sunday after you finish with D_Lion's home?

I go through periods of nesting (but mine is home project nesting). I did find a correlation between being happy with my guy and wanting to nest more but I also do it just me. I find it enjoyable.

I like to balance out a good bout of nesting with a good bout of not caring.

And look at it this way, your place looks great.

I just recently lost my job. I turned into my grandmother way before.
