Maybe it just catches the low IQ liars.

Those differently worded questions jump out at me to the point where I get frustrated at being asked the same thing 2 or 3 times.

As I think I said before, answering honestly is not always easy because the choices given do not always cover all the possibilities.
Exactly. I come to a screeching halt when I hit a question that has multiple interpretations. "It depends on the situation" is quite often my desired choice, but that's not an option.

ENTJ/P.

Long company-paid test: ENTJ
Short, free test: ENTP

Verrrrry close to the line on J/P. Only extreme on the N.

Those aren't that difficult to identify.

And if you can tweak the end result with deliberately selecting specific answers then they arent that good at catching "liars" as they thought?

So maybe not thoughtfully then, but honestly?
Well my experience with it was there were so many versions of each type of question on the test, asked in slyly backwards ways, that I think it would be pretty challenging to keep it all straight if you tried to game your way through it. I mean seriously, some of the questions were soooo sneaky. I can't explain it lol you'd have to take the test and see it for yourself, but there are some da mn smart people who made that test.

I scored: ISTJ. I don't quite understand the Sensitive bit - but then I never saw this test prior to tonight. The second test, most things were either Very Accurate or Very Inaccurate - which is pretty much how I score on all tests with more than one button within a scale. These descriptions are bang on target:

'As do other Introverted Thinkers, ISTJ's often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold. Effusive expression of emotional warmth is not something that ISTJ's do without considerable energy loss.'

Initial? What's this initial?! If I don't like you, I can keep up this impression indefinitely! (And I possibly should not be admitting this ... oh well!)

'ISTJ's are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don't keep their commitments. But they usually keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked, they don't mince words. Truth wins out over tact. The grim determination of the ISTJ vindicates itself in officiation of sports events, judiciary functions, or an other situation which requires making tough calls and sticking to them.'

Heh heh heh ... I'm always hearing from my colleagues that they know exactly where I stand on things and that if I latch onto a problem, that's it, it's mine until I get it resolved. Then there is the memorable occasion where a colleague - whom I thought was deadset useless - asked me for my evalution of their performance. My response, as I looked into their eyes, was something like if I was your manager, I would have fired you for incompetence by now. Ah, yeah; just call me Miss Tactless.

I came up an ENFP this time. It's always a toss up between ENFJ and ENFP. If you look at the result I'm almost about fifty percent in that one area.

Extroverted (E) 75% Introverted (I) 25%
Intuitive (N) 69.7% Sensing (S) 30.3%
Feeling (F) 60% Thinking (T) 40%
Perceiving (P) 53.13% Judging (J) 46.88%

Your type is: ENFP
I'm an E39 N25 F62 P22 too

I haven't read through the last 8 pages so I was wondering if anyone compared their score with an eh match of theirs to see what it was? I did one of my matches and we got 90% I tested my ex and we were 37% (it explains ALOT). I sent out the test to a few friends and I'm awaiting to see what their results are. It's interesting.

All right all right ... just for YOU Jo!

The test itself is here
Color Career Counselor | Career Tests | CareerPath.com

Pick your preferences fast without thinking lol. (Drink a beer or two, Jo.)
Also it won't let you keep retaking the test. Game player. lol ;p~

Also be sure to really read the instruction thing at the top. They first ask the most preferable color and then they switch to least.

And just click no thanks on the stupid ad! lol

An article about said test is here.
Favorite colors test shows CEOs are different; take the test - USATODAY.com

On this test I come out as Creator and Persuader. I'd say that fits my obsession with being a journalist in this at times seemingly waning career field. *sigh*
By far this was the most fun...was getting a little psychedelic dizzy trying to sort all those colors and didn't even need any special brownies

I'm a Creator and a secondary Organizer. Must be due to playing with my brother's tinker toys throughout those formative years I still resent the fact he hid the rubber band motors....had to make my cars run on pure imagination

I have taken MB a number of times (professional long form) for work applications, as well as DISC and other tests (pretty sure the MMPI was in there too at least once). I think it was something like eight hours of testing when I attended the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership. And one company that recruited me several years ago had me spend approximately five hours in this type of testing. More companies are using this type of information; I have been asked to take similar testing for two companies in the past four months.

Like others here, I long resisted being placed in a box. For me, it was actually interesting to read so many people in this thread having similar reactions. I do think that alone is telling because not everyone responds in this manner. I have found this type of information useful in the workplace in terms of building teams and improving communication. As with most things, you get out of it what you put into it and can have positive impact if you apply what you learn effectively.

So down to brass tacks. Every time I have taken this, I come back as ENTJ.

What I have found curious is the changing strengths (or not) over time. For example, in my 20s, I was almost 50/50 on every measure except the N/S - just barely ending up as ENTJ. As the years have passed, the E has become much more dominant. The T/F has stayed very close, barely putting me as a T, while the J has become somewhat more dominant, but not to the extent of the E/I measure.

There are many parts of this that fit me quite well. What became most important, over time, was for me to take the cumulative information from all the batteries of tests administered to me, and rather than resisting (as I was wont to do initially), to embrace and become more self aware in order to make the most of the strengths I have, and to be able to better communicate with other styles/types.

It's a work in progress of course, but the process of self awareness and understanding others continues to be an intriguing one to me.
