Here is a question...Is there anything you would be willing to give up doing to be with someone...that is important to you...what would you be willing to give up in order to be with someone. I am refering to intersts. I know many pwoplw will not want someone that matches them with drinking and smoking habits for various reasons.

For example say everything was perfect with them except they could not have any more children due to being sniped/tied...would you still go with them.

Thinking more in terms of compromise, yes there are some I could and would make. What those are depends on where or what the relationship needs by way of compromise.

Well if everything else was "perfect" it would be a lot easier to give something up unless it's major, but even then weighed in the balances it might not seem as bad.

It's difficult to say without specifics. In general I would say yes, but it would be depending on the person and what the thing was.

Very pertinent question ~ since I very much want to have children and always have. Yes I'd be willing to give that up for the right person.

Other than that, what I think I learned in my recent relationship is this. When it's the right person and you feel it, all the rules go out the window and you're wrilling to do anything for them ~ and them anything for you. And such questions really dont' cross your mind anymore. You just *know* you'll work it out and figure something out.

I will make sacrifices for a mate if they are not such major issues that I can't morally stand by them.

Having more children, as the example, I would consider. I really don't like the idea of having more, but would if my partner didn't have any of his own and I felt being a father was truly that important to him.

Moving might be another consideration. I would, if I felt the reasoning was logical. Why should I move from my support system (parents, friends) just so he can stay where he is? Better job? Better support system? More job options available in his area?

I think it would also depend on how deeply I felt for this person as well.

Over the years I've learnt that there is nothing really so important in the grand scheme that it can't be sacrificed - the exception being my children as they can't fend for themselves and when I had children that was a commitment I took on. So pretty much anything - I may be sad to give it up, but compromise is sometimes necessary to make something good work.
