Happy 2008! And welcome to the new year, also known as The Year of You. That's right. This is your year to live a big, fabulous life. Don't wait another second to get the life you know you deserve.

I'm going to meet my soul mate in 2008. I've met a lot of very nice gentlemen this year through eHarmony, but none of them make me feel a little jump in my heart when I see/talk to them. I recently came off of a cruise and I'm getting ready to go again...it would be nice to go with some one I shared heart palpitations with. :-)

Writing down goals is almost magic - I have done that for a little over a year now - an older friend told me to try it and read over the list twice a day - then burn the old list and make a new list every month. Of course many of the items on the new list will be the same as the old one that was burned, but it is amazing how many are accomplished in a month. I try to write down even the mundane goals like getting the garage cleaned out but it seems like a real accomplishment.
Like Optimistic Female I am going to meet The Man in 2008 - looking forward to that.

Fabulous article! I agree that so many times we sabotage our own efforts. It is a good idea to recognize what we do to get in our own way before we start. Knowing what our self-made roadblocks are can help us do something different so we can get different results. I also realized recently that my family may not be the best support system because often my way of doing things was learned from them. If they thought that joining a gym was a good idea, they would have done it already and wouldn't be fighting the same "out-of-shape" problem I'm fighting. It would already be an accepted "family tradition". Somebody has to be brave enough to try the new thing to get the new results.

Great article! it is good to keep reminding ourselves that we create our own reality by atracting what we want with our thoughts. Setting an intention and living in alignment to it is the key to reach our goals. Sometimes it's easier said that done, that's why is so important to keep reading/listening to words that inspire us, instead of surrendering to our own fearful thoughts & negativity when things don't seem to go our way. To accomplish what we want we MUST NEVER GIVE UP!!
I actually never post any comments online, this is my firts one. This is my little way to go "out of my way", and commit to my intention to reach my goals this year. I wish everyone that read this love, healthy and happines in 2008. May all you wishes cometrue!

I agree whole heartedly with this article. I have never been one to fit 'into the box", so to speak. I believe in equality of the sexes and will make my my own path in 2008. I know I will meet my soulmate aometime in 2008. I hope it will be with Eharmaony. As for trying to lose weight and live healthier, I will strive to become more active in my daily activities. You know, someone at work suggested I take up an adult education course in something that interests me in my city, as a way to meet someone new? That is a thought yet to be pondered? I hope 2008 is a successful year for everyone that reads this message. Good luck and many new year wishes to you all. Happy New Year!

NANCEB1738 You've taken the first step just by joining eHarmony. I'm 57 and a widow and I feel very confident that I'm going to find my "Mr. Right" in 2008. It takes patience and putting yourself in situations where you can meet people. In the 4 or 5 months that I've been a member of eHarmony, I've had two offers of marriage...unfortunately, neither one of them made my heart jump. Love WILL happen!! I wish you all the best and may you find the love of your life in 2008.
