Male and female shopping styles are in our genes -- and we can look to evolution for the reason.

Male and female shopping strategies show evolution at work in the mall

I don't actually enjoy shopping. Maybe I am part guy ...
But I found the article amusing.

That is an interesting article. I dislike shopping as well, for clothes and such. get in, get out. Don't like crowds. I wonder what that says about me?

I disagree. I love to shop...at least going to 2-3 different stores on a nice Saturday (and have a nice brunch in between), go to outlet malls, etc. Ya can feast your eyes on nice stuff and get your walking exercises at the same time!

So much for me and my sports-watching-extreme-outdoor-activities matches from EH...there goes my compatibility! lol

It all depends on the Toys these Boys want....just take a trip to your local Bass Pro shop....it's raining men there..so just cast your line and hook yourself the catch of the day...LOL.
I couldn't help sharing...I shop for clients and never thought about this place until I had to go look for something....never knew men had their own department store...but now I know.

So maybe it's not that men don't like shopping, it's that they only like shopping for certain things at certain places? But maybe that's what the ancient Hunters did ... just go where the animals are and pick one off. Whereas the ancient Gatherers went all around the landscape, depending on season, gathering a little here and a little there.

Fun article Nightling!

* Sigh * Yet another reference to the unproven theory of evolution. Why not just say that's how people are? There's no proof we "evolved" from some other form.

Ugh. I detest shopping. Not a "female" bone in my body when it comes to that.

It makes those "obligatory" gift occasions (birthdays, holidays, etc.) into an unpleasant chore.

Thank goodness for the internet, or I'd really consider becoming a hermit this time of year.

I really hate shopping. It doesn't matter if it's something I really want for myself or someone else or not. There are much better things to do with my time.

I've never really understood the whole concept of window shopping, either. I have a friend who loves to go to the mall and just look at the window displays and see the things she can't afford to buy. Ugh! Ick! Blah! Yuck! Needless to say, I am not the one she calls when she gets this urge...lol.

I have a close male friend that loves to shop. I actually find it endearing.

It is actually a lot of fun shopping with a guy who enjoys it.
