I have a VERY weird thing (compulsion? Perhaps...) about matching. My shoes and purse must match. My jewelry metals and stones must match. When I get a mani/pedi, my fingers and toes must match. Even my undergarments must match each other (and ideally my outfit as well).

Now that I've shared, what are YOUR "weird things" that you do (or don't do?)

I have a couple of odd things, which usually result in a comment the first time someone else notices!

~ I use the same colour pegs to hang washing on the clothesline. If the garment needs two or more pegs, I use the same colour. When I come to single items needing only one peg, I fill that whole piece of line with one colour peg only.

~ I chair-dance. Apparently this is hilarious.

~ I never make the bed. I don't like the sheets or blankets to be tucked in. So I pull up them up straight and fold them over neatly, but only tucked in at the foot of the bed.

~ My 'library' collection has CD, DVD and books. Everything is sorted on the shelves by category; and alphabetically by Artist, DVD title and Author.

~ I tend to stack my mail and open it once every couple of weeks. This drives everyone else nuts. It doesn't bother me.

*I have to take a shower every morning an sometimes at night too.

*I HAVE to have q-tips to clean out/dry my ears EVERY time they get wet. (which means after every shower too)

*I cannot sleep without a fan humming somewhere. It dont have to be pointed in my direction, as long as I can hear it. (I cant sleep if its too hot, cold is prefurable)

*Cant stand to go without my glasses/contacts or my ring unless I'm goin to sleep.

*I have everything on my PC desktop organized as to what I use first to last an I click them all open at the start of the day, I HATE it when someone uses my PC an moves them all around to fit them. Drives me Nutty.

*Everytime I'm around a gun, I MUST check an make sure that its Not loaded, I hate hate hate it when someone comes in an starts pullin the trigger like they assume its not loaded, you never really know unless you check.

*Ah, a really weird one, I dont bother with makin my bed until I change my sheets an blanket, an then I dont care if its 2am, I'm dog tired an jus wanna fall into bed, It has to be made first, picture PERFECT. Then I can lay down an mess it all up agian.

I'm sure I have more but I cant think right now. My mind is full of excitment bout this weekend.

heres the first one:

1. same as Lori, my toes and nails have to match. however, i get a pedicure once a month and my nails done every two weeks, so the nail color getts changed but still has to match. i favor dark colors, because i keep my nails short. and OPI brand only.

so, i alternate between shades of purple one month and red the next, and once in a while i'll mix in a dark brown, or this cool dark grey i have and a deep forest green. this all takes planning.

I cross my second toe over my big toe when I'm happy. I can't help it - I've done it since I was a baby. My mom used to try to uncross them, but it didn't work.

I have to keep all the food on my plate separate. I hate it when the different foods mingle. I'm a food separatist.

When I get comfortable in a certain position, I have to stay that way. It messes me up when I move a little and then I spend an age trying to figure out how I was sitting, standing, etc before.

I have a photographic memory and when I'm out walking, driving, or whatever, words or images pop flash into my consciousness. I know I've seen them and I absolutely have to find out where I saw before I can keep going or doing whatever I'm doing. It's kind of annoying. (The same things happens when I'm reading. I'll flash ahead and see a word or phrase and then I spend five minutes trying to find what I saw. )

I like things to be in straight lines. I cannot stand disorder. It makes me insane. Corners have to be straight, my clothes have to be hung straight on the hanger, chairs have to be sitting straight, I park straight . . . . My dad was a land surveyor, so my whole life was about straight lines. I blame that one on him.

Well, I personally don't think I'm weird, but many people say I am. So I guess that is one of my weird things

Here are a couple of mine - I'll probably think of more later....

When I put the key in the ignition to start my car, the logo on the key has to be right-side-up, even though the key would turn the ignition switch either way.

When I get up in the morning, I have to do all the various getting-up things (teeth, shave, brew coffee, shower, clothes) in the same exact order - every morning - or the whole darned day is thrown off.

Wierd, yes...but hopefully endearing as well!

I don't make my bed every morning, but I have to at least partly make it before I can sleep at night.

I'm a serial singer. Can't help it-happy, sad, it doesn't matter. If there's music on anywhere, almost any style, I must sing. Drives everyone around me crazy.

All my towels have to be folded and stacked the same way. I'm not really picky about other laundry and pretty glad if somebody else wants to do it for me, but towels must be my way.

I know, I'm a little crazy!
