I was listening to an audiobook today by Martha Beck and she asked the question "How do you want the world to be different because you have lived." I thought this was a great question that I am still pondering.

So I am asking you the same question.... "How do you want the world to be different because you have lived?"

I am interested to hear what people have to share as I ponder my own answers.

Having pulled it together enough to speak at my own husband's Memorial almost a year ago, I know exactly what I would like.

I'm not looking to change the world. Nothing so ambitious as that!

I just want to make my own little corner better. I want somebody to be able to stand up and say I made a difference in their life. That somebody else's life was better for me having been there.

That's what I want.

I want to, and am, having an impact on people on the other side of the world. My own life is less than amazing, as I'm single and kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for those people.
