I personally am big into nicknames. I think that it makes things fun and little more personal. I figure that anyone I am dating or in a LTR with has probably been called their normal name by past bf's and if I come up with something different and personally-meaningful, that adds a little exclusiveness to our relationship. My last ltr was with a woman that one day said something unintentionally with a southern accent. From that day on I called her "Belle" for Southern Belle. I usually and eventually come up with a nickname for everyone I date. I find that most women seem to like that they have a special name with a cute little story behind it. My profile name is actually a nickname an old college gf used to call me by combining parts of my first and middle names. I called her JanetPlanet since she was a little spacey...

keep it fun and keep it personal, thats my take on the name game.

My kitty's complete name is Pantoufle Solange Lizzette - how's that for a handle? I use her name for my name on this site. Pantoufle is French and means slipper. I got the name from the movie, Chocolat, starring Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp. The little girl in the film has an imaginary kangaroo for a playmate and the roo's name is Pantoufle.
