In honor of Labor Day, how about sharing what career you would like to pursue if you could do anything you wanted to? No restrictions on talent or education or opportunities?

I think I would love to be a writer (the successful kind that gets published.) To be able to transport others to another world would be great.

My second choice would probably be yoga teacher. To be able to help people to feel great about their bodies and what they can do with it would be great.

I would definitely be a writer. I love to write, and I just don't have the time to dedicate to writing anything worth reading (comments on graded papers just don't seem to count!). I have so many things I've started but never finished because the summer ended and it was time for me to go back to work. By the time the next summer comes around, I have bigger and better ideas, and the cycle begins again!

Ah, if only....

I would do many different things all being in the artistic realm.

Architecture, Photography, painting, interior design.

I would do whatever I was inspired to do at any moment.

Something involving film or television.

Actually... in a different life I think that i would enjoy being a Psychiatrist/ psychologist. Can I select only those clients that have issues but aren't severely mentally ill? I would like to help people but I there are some people that really cannot be helped & that would be very tough to deal with.

So maybe a counselor would be more accurate so as to not deal with the severely ill. Yes, i'd like to take the good part of the occupation & leave out the bad & the ugly part of it.

I so understand what you are saying. I can be a writer. I just don't have the time to be the writer I want to be.

I'd be a hospice social worker who volunteered at an animal sanctuary in my free time.

As a little girl, I always wanted to be a movie star. My sisters and I used to put on plays. I did a little in high school and college. I haven't thought of that in years.

I was always good at writing.

Actually, I haven't worked in almost 10 years and hope to never have to work again.

But I might eventually volunteer at the local animal shelter. I'm pretty good with animals. I love them and they know it.

It would be very interesting to know what people really do for a living vs. what they would like to do without those tiresome restrictions such as the need to actually earn a living...
