I enjoy a good game of just about anything. Although I must say, word games are my least favorite type. So I would play Scrabble with you, Lori, but only if there were no other options at the moment.
My favorite games are long-running turn-based strategy games. I have a shelf full of huge board games with thousands of pieces, mostly war games, that require several players and at least several days of play time. And I never get to play them because I don't usually have time, and when I do I can't find anyone else who has time and wants to play with me.
So I mostly do online strategy games. Especially the ones where I can sign in and play a turn, then sign off and forget about it for a day or longer without losing automatically. That way my gaming never interferes with my active social life.

Right now I have battle being played out by the computer in 'Galaxy Online' in the window next to this one. (and I'm winning.)
I also play Go (an old Chinese game), and Robo Runner (Robot racing game.) It's not all I ever do, but I do enjoy my games.
Did you ever play Starcraft?

twice a month or so i host game night for my friends- it's a blast.

it started out as a small group of 4 and now i've had up to 12 people- I never knew so many people would get a kick out of it. maybe it's the booze.

depending on the number of people, we usually play Catchphrase or pictionary, but also trivial pursuit and apples to apples (which i don't love BTW)

I love board games, and I also enjoy playing cards occasionally, as well. Scrabble is one of my favorites. I like video games, too, but I don't play them as much as I used to.

No to video games.

Yes to card and board games. I rarely play, but when I get the opportunity I like to play Phase 10, Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and I still love to play Snap! I like Solataire too.

That is a neat idea. I think I may start doing something similar!

Yep.

Started playing stratego and chess with my brother when I was like 4 years old. Kept going with Chess through high school, college, and into my early 20s. I was a decent, but, not great tournament level player (had a USCF ranking, etc).

Video games started becoming popular when I was a teenager and I played them off and on most of my life. When I was younger, they always took a back seat to sports though.

I've played card games most of my life. Mostly Bridge; also Hearts, Spades, Poker, Gin Rummy, Cribbage, etc.

In my mid 20s I played Magic: The Gathering, which turned into a minor addiction for me. Not so bad in that I couldn't play constantly, but, a pretty huge money sink.

I keep up with some of the people I met playing M:tg. They're really into "German Style" board games. I got hooked into that group playing Settlers of Cataan. I literally played dozens of different games with that group (they meet once a week on Saturdays). They're really into it and they analyze the games and write articles about it.

In my 30s, I started playing massively multiplayer online computer games. At first, it was a really positive thing. I met a lot of people all over the world and have a lot of friends and contacts in the world to show for it. Eventually, it became an obsession and something I had to back away from.

I tried playing Mafia Wars, which is a really popular Facebook app. I got really into it for a few months, but, it didn't really stick and I haven't logged into it for a long time. Never tried Farmville or any of the other Facebook apps.

I also do solo puzzle type things like crossword puzzles and su-do-ku.

I play almost any type of game; video games, board games, cards. If I can find people to play them with on a regular basis that’s even better.

I used to go to games nights when I lived in a small town. Total fun. My favorites are Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit and Cranium.
