We are direct descendants of two Presidents - the Adams' - and by marriage to three others. Family was Mayflower people.

Son is second cousins with the band Good Charlotte and my neice went to school with them - I remember them as kids at that side of the family's "fundie" picnics.

Allegedly I'm a descendant of William Wallace on my mother's side. I was told this a decade or better before the movie Braveheart came out but I have no way to prove or disprove it.
My ex is supposedly related to Robert the Bruce (the prince from Braveheart)... He's even named after him, as is our son

My grandfather traced our genealogy and found an outlaw who shot a man over a game of cards and was hung in the town square not long before the War of Northern Aggression... Well, I guess that's where my bad streak comes from.

Note to self: Don't try to bluff Ms666 on the river with a lowly pair of deuces.

My brother tried to trace our family tree but too many records were destroyed in WW2 and the info we had from older relatives was too sketchy. About all we could say was that they were French, beyond that there are just the standard vague references to missing heirs of fortunes, but what family doesn't have those?

Anyone have any celebrities in the family, or anyone "famous" or publicly notable?
I believe one of the nieces of Gary Gygax (deceased) was a member here.
