My dear eHA-Planetarians,

I'd like to share some information recently received from my secret sources on the Moon.

Dear Lunatic,
Get ready for drama! A total eclipse of the Sun will occur in the sign of Cancer on July 21-22. Although this eclipse will only be visible in northern India, eastern Nepal, northern Bangladesh, Bhutan, the northern tip of Myanmar, central China and the Pacific Ocean, this is the longest total solar eclipse that will occur in the twenty-first century. This total eclipse will last for up to 6 minutes and 39 seconds; will not be surpassed in duration again until June 13, 2132!

A Solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is exactly between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the solar rays from reaching us. From ancient times to the modern-day world, solar eclipses have heralded spectacular events and drama! This eclipse occurs in the last degree of Cancer -- and brings all the Cancerian energies of home, family, nurturing, caring, maternal instincts, emotions and sensitivity into focus.

Eclipses always occur in pairs. While a lunar eclipse brings the past into the present to see what works, a solar eclipse brings the future to present and triggers new potentials. Since Cancer rules family, home and vocation these areas will take center stage during this eclipse.

What does the eclipse mean for you? Since this eclipse occurs in the sign of Cancer, its impact will feel different depending on which House Cancer is positioned in your birth chart. Where the eclipse falls in the chart is significant, as the energies expressed by its house placement will show the areas of life that are affected by the new beginning that is implied.

If your Sun sign or Ascendant is Cancer, almost every part of your life will be affected. If Cancer is in your First or Seventh House, you will focus on yourself, your marriage or your relationship. If it is situated in the Second or Eight House, your earnings or joint finances will be impacted. If it is the Third or Ninth House, travel or educational pursuits are highlighted. In the Fourth or Tenth House, home and career will be front and center. Eclipses in the Fifth or Eleventh House put the spotlight on self-expression, children, groups and organizations. Finally, eclipses in the Sixth or Twelfth House put the focus on health, work and service. Wisdom holds that events that are triggered by an eclipse usually take six months to unfold, so you can expect this process of change to continue. The opportunity to break old patterns will present themselves as you make changes.

As you can clearly see, this is once in a human lifetime kind of event. It should not be taken lightly. It should be handled with Great Care and has potential to bring Infinite Happiness into all of our lives.

Being a Cancerian, ruled by the ever-powerful Moon, but who also has her Sun rising in Cancer, I expect to be greatly influenced by this amazingly unique happening. And I intend to use it to bring about Positive Changes in one and all areas of my finite life.

Here are a couple of questions to you, my dear neighbors in the sky:
1. How much house - no, make it home-warming influence does Cancer have on your life?
2. How are you planning to utilize this great help from Above to instigate Positive Changes in your own life and lives About You?

Looking forward to some positive feedback, sugestions, ideas and inspirations from all my nearest and dearest friends at eHA!

None - I'm Gemini.

None - it usually takes a person to inspire me to change!

I think you may have replied to soon (jumping to conclusions?), before I had a chance to add the necessary highlights to the text.

Not to mention that Geminis are my very close neighbours, I was born right at the end of the cusp of Gemini and Cancer (apparenty that air of Gemini Grace allows me some intelligence in the midst of all that mess of Lunar Love).

But if it all "takes 6 months to unfold", then couldn't one blame almost anything that happens in that time on the eclipse.....? That's always been my issue with astrology; it seems so vague.

But it’s not vague, its *mysterious.* *grin*

Being a Cancer’s cancer, my crabby house is getting shipshape. Getting more out-going rather than hunkering down in my shell, shouting "Incoming!" Actually spending time in social situations- my word what a change! And enjoying some good conversation when it comes my way. I will use the positive charge to keep the batteries on my cell phone from dying every three hours or so, to better stay in touch just in case some *hawt* wimmens want to share some of that intelligent conversation I'm craving.

And of course Cancer has lots of influence on my personal dwelling place. It’s home! Home is where the heart is, as well as where this crab is. Home smells like tomatoes today. *grin* I like where I’m at- I am quite at home in my own boots, thank you! But I do intend to actually *buy* a home of my own someday. So much more permanent, personal, and very much more me. Plus it will be a place I can indulge in woodworking for a while to build me some shelves to hold all my books. Three bookshelves are not enough. I need more, and bigger! And there will be a kitchen, oh yes, set up just the way I like, with spice racks and so on… I’m babbling like a brook, I will stop now. *grin*

If we are looking for someone or something to blame, we will always find it, guaranteed!

But we can also look for Positive Changes and find them too, but only if we are dedicated enough to bring them about, even if means dragging them in all the way from the Cancerian Moon.

Believe it or not, I'm not a believer of popular astrology and daily horoscopes. But I'm a believer in the powerful influence of the Sky, the Planets and the Stars - the energy of the Sun and the Moon on our daily lives is logically impossible to deny! The rest is a little less obvious, but no less powerful at that!

Take this Once in a Lifetime Eclipse as a sign to bring about Positive Changes into your own life and lives of those About You!!!

This is the really wise point of this thread, even if I say so myself

Well, if anyone needs a reason to go out and do something positive, I guess that's as good as any .

My Dearest Cancer's Cancer,
When you are completely done being salmoney and smelling of the green and red tomatoes, and after you've re-decorated, can I come and visit this newly inspirational, book-and-love-filled peaceful oasis of yours some day, possibly in the near future, even if it's beyond 6 months from now?...

No, my brain thinks the same now as it did before you added the highlights! LOL!

All hilarity aside, I meant what I said: people inspire me.

And this is All the Proof I Need:
When we keep our hearts and minds open (slightly ajar will also do, for starters), even Grace comes about Eventually!!!
