You have to assume that people are going to paint the best possible picture of themselves. A great first impression is the key to getting a chance to reveal your inner demons. ha ha. (sadly it's true)

9 out of 10 dates I've been on have never been anywhere close to what they've put on their profiles. Some where even 5" shorter, 10yrs older or 100lbs heavier. Go figure.

Yeah, i had a weird experience like that. I had a match that made me cringe.. She wasn't very attractive In fact, I had a knee jerk reaction to close because she really wasn't very pretty. BUT, I swallowed that initial reaction because i liked the rest of the profile and gave her a shot. We went out, and she was gorgeous. Not sure how she could have taken such a horrible picture.

I've had 1 who wasn't honest with her age, high school graduation date and certainly not with any of her pics. That instance was a flat out lie.

I've had a few who weren't honest and pulled a bait and switch with posted photos vs reality.

Other issues are pretty subjective e.g. humor, intelligence and so forth...

Were you recently matched with your ex or did you seek his profile out?
