I daydream all the time. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

I agree with youAdviceGuy, but I just wondered if daydreams of perfection actually help, or hinder our chances of finding it.

Do we compare our reality to what we only wish it could be, and therefore, are our expections resonable?

I'm that guy, by the way. I married the perfect woman -- smart, strong-willed, beautiful, yet feminine and vulnerable, damaged by her past trauma, unable to trust, unable to ~love~.

She's a heroine, for sure. I'll write her if I ever do a Harlequine.

We found love, she and I.

Then, like everybody else does, we tore out one another's hearts and ate them.

You married the perfect woman and yet you say she was unable to love? Then wouldn't that mean that she was "imperfect"? Love does seem to be some kind of prerequisite to marriage (or at least it should be...)

Did your tendency to label your wife as "perfect" actually blind you to her imperfections? Were you seeking perfection and so therefore unable to believe that the one you loved was flawed? Sorry Saul, I am justdreaming up questions... (mainly for myself)

I do think modern culture is defined a bit too much by what we ingest, brainwise. Romance novels, television, celebrity media, pornography.

I don't generally read romance novels and I've been off fiction lately anyway and focusing on the stack of non-fiction that's been living on the passenger side of the bed. I daydream constantly. I live largely in my head. I have these feature-length mind movies that play pretty much full time.

I sometimes have to balance between this and real life. My 'mind' life is so rich and satisfying that if I'm not careful, I'll stay there : )

Jane Austen rocks...

Monkey monkey monkey, I do so love you, Monkey... Maybe one day we'll swap heads.

Just for a little while.

Thanks....sometimes my head is a scary place. Often, though, it's full of my favorite people, even if some of them are no longer really here.

You're there too...we've had long chats over coffee. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did : )

Maybe we could set up a heart swap. Mine seems to be prone to being broken. I could use a backup. Like a generator during hurricane season. Just something to tide me over.

I'm a daydreamer by nature and when I accidentally wondered upon a movie called, "Passion of Mind" with Demi Moore, I was relieved to know that I'm now have a reference as to how my mind works...so, I totally get you LBMM; check out the movie. If only it was safe to stay in our dreams & come out play in the so-called "real" world from time to time.
