Do most of your matches share a similar occupation? What is it? Is it the same as yours or vastly different?


I've recently noticed that most of my matches are preschool/elementary school teachers. My occupation is in higher education - I teach adults, but not in a classroom setting, and teaching isn't my primary job function. I highly admire the infinite level of patience that teachers must possess to be successful and happy with what they do.

I think over half of my matches were either teachers or nurses. The rest were everything else.

I've never had a match who shared my occupation. I usually get matched with nurses, teachers, and students.

It comes in waves. For a while, I got a ton of paralegals and flight attendants. Then it was business owners. Later, nurses. Now it seems like I have a high percentage of fitness consultants. I have no idea why.

Generally in waves also - between "sales", which is always a mystery to me, because that could encompass way to many things; business owners (again, could be anything, no further information offered anywhere); construction; retired (kind of odd for my age group, but, ok??); or military.


Get some random professions thrown in there too from time to time, but most fall into one of the above.

I've had teachers, nurses, business owners, pediatrician, student/waitress, beautician, minister, etc...plethora of occupation.

Nope..no one has matched my occupation...and I get a lot of miltary reserves/engineer (4 matches in OC with this), police dept., fire dept., political/government, and Fortune 500 company owner...and that is the one's I have been in comm. So..have no clue about all my other matches that I have closed, or they closed mesince I didn't look at their occupation.

I had a high number of engineers.


I've also had several Sex Therapists. One that simply listed "Bum" (hey, at least he was honest). 2 drug dealers (again, had to like the honesty). And my favorite was Porn Star.


Yeah, Eh if nothing else, was always good for a laugh!
