Skiing is a blast! I grew up skiing in New Hampshire. Last time I went I hadn't worn skis for 10 years and picked up right where I left off.

three_eyes, what an awesome list!

I think I need to do one, too!

Mine would definitely include a trip to Italy and the whitewater rafting sounds great too.

Anyone else has lists they want to share?

Or, in my case, "No Brain No Pain!"

three_eyes,

What a great list! I made a similar list after my husband passed away a number of years ago. Mine included going back to school and getting a Master's, learning to fly cast and actually GOING fishing instead of just talking about it,packing up and going campingon my own instead of waiting for a group outing, &actually planting asparagus (there's a story there).

There are still a few things on that list I haven't done yet like taking up tack weldingand massage therapy and taking a NOLS outdoor leadership class. I'm still working my way through the list andI keep tacking new things onto it.

That's awesome. I will use this as my inspiration! That was my thought as well, to keep adding to the list and revisiting it, really using it as a tool to help me keep focused on doing things that make me happy and that keep me grounded, regardless of whether or who I'm dating.

By the way, I didn't know tack welding was a hobby. Or is it more to learn that skill that help you with other projects/hobbies?

You pegged it! I enjoy creating Christmas light displays, mostly with lighted wireframes. Currently, when I havea "great idea" I must commission someone to make it for me which always entails a hefty freight charge for delivery.

Since it basically involves bending 1/4 inch steel rods andwelding the pieces together, it's something I can learn to do on my own as others have. Learning tack welding would allow me to be more original and creative with the display. And well, OK....it also reminds me of the movie Flashdance....LOL.
