Wow -- whoever wrote this clearly gets it. This is a brief manifesto for a strong, healthy and outrageously fun relationship. Sure, there are all sorts of nuance bits that could be added, but this really gets to the heart of it. Bravo!
Let us dispel a myth: All women are not fragile in need of self-worth stroking. So go ahead, say what you want and not what you think she wants to hear!

I am very guarded when I meet a perfect woman. One that agrees with everything I say and tells me everything I want to hear! What is she trying to hide? I feel much more comfortable around women that aren't 100% of like mind with me and will share their opinions and points of view with me. I even look for the little faults in a woman on the first few meetings. A woman without any faults is not really human... is she?
There are going to be differences of opinion between any two human beings. If there aren't then there is something wrong.
I personally believe that an adult relationship is more about RESPECTING each other’s differences. I would much rather hear about a woman’s abduction by alien space craft on the first date than on the 10th ! I need a woman that can respect my opinion even if she doesn’t agree with it. The last lady I met is a big Obama supporter… and she is still hot anyway!
Having made the decision tocontinuously learn through growth and development what I want from a relationship, it's understandable that I would want a man who hasspent time developing himself. My definition of an evolved manwould be quite similar to what is mentioned in the article, in an expanded way, of course.
The article was interesting, on target and realistic in that it pointed out the need for communication in a relationship. If a couple were able to speak to each other in this manner, the foundation of the relationship would be solid. Communicating this way would also build the trust that is so vital to the growth of the relationship.
An evolved man would definitely be a communicator. He would be someone who is self-aware, confident and sensitive to the needs of his partner. He would know his strengths as well as his weaknesses, and would be a better person for knowingthese things about himself. Because he is human, and therefore fallible, he would be open tolearning and growing.
I think the weaknesses of an evolved man would only serve to make him more human, more interesting and more loveable. I would want an evolved man, but not a perfect man. I would accept his weaknesses and love him in spite of them, just as I would want him to do the same for me.

hahahahahahahaha
This article is pretty close to my own view of women and relationships. The 'say everything you want to hear' woman would seem very immature and needy to me, whereas the 'honest' responses seem like a healthy individual I could have a good and honest relationship with.
However, D_Lion's response above doesn't seem to apply equally and is almost laughable. What is that saying about women? Does it mean they don't want or can't handle the truth from men?

I agree with what you say about communications but sometimes what is said and what really happens are two different matters. An example would be how to handle the finances. Both parties reach an agreement but then down the road one party changes theagreement or totally breaks it.
In this type of situation no matter how much you communicated and how well your trust would take a beating creating cracks in the relationship.

Do you have something completely stupid to talk about? Come here. Talk. It's a simple two step process. Please have a good sense of humor about all this. It is good for the heart.
