Since we communicate online we never really get to hear each other and find out what kind of voice or accent everyone has.

1) What kind of voice do you have? Is it high pitched or deep and sultry? Any kind of accent?

2) Do you like your voice? If you don't is there anyone that you wish you sounded like? Any kind of accent you adore or that turns you on? Any that turns you off?

1) A new match that I talked with on the phone this week for the first time said he thought my voice sounded youthful and full of energy. (He is a new match so he may just have been being extra nice but he brought it up) Really surprised me because I have always hated my voice and am listening to CD's in the car to lower my voice and make it less high pitched and deeper. I have a definite southern accent which I forget about till I hear a recording of my voice.

2) Hate my voice and would love to have it be deeper. As for accent I wouldn't mind having an English accent. Love to hear an Australian accent.

1) Medium pitch. I don't hear any accent , but some can hear the Minnesotan in me at times. More often than not it's not my tone of voice that draws comments, but the fact that I "talk fast for someone from the Midwest" (I guess we are all supposed to talk slowly in these parts?)

2) Hate hearing it back, but am ok with in "live". A co-worker is from Australia and I think I could listen to him speak all day. Not a dislike, but an East Coast accent is harder to listen to. Hardest for me to listen to hands down, is the "baby doll" voice coming from a grown woman.

1) I don't hear an accent. Maybe a little southern drawl. My niece (in California) says she can hear my valley girl accept even though I've been in Florida over 30 years. WTF?

2) Hate hearing it. Would rather have English accent also. Soft spoken.

I'm actually really good with most accents. I had a New York accent 'till I was 5 years old and went to schools in California, where I still live. I'm told I have a really good phone voice. I tend to have a soft speakingvoice and have been told I sing like Judy Collins. Depends on whose listening.

I enjoy Russian and English accents.

I've got a medium-pitched voice with a hint of a Washington D.C. accent (e.e., a tendency to say "warshington").

I think I sound a little more nasal on tape than the way I hear myself. People tell me I sound either warm, or intelligent. I think my voice is one of my best features, actually.

I love accents! Love to try to ID where they're from, etc. I tend to find language fascinating, just in general.

My voice is deep pitched like Lauren Bacall's. If I have an accent, it is American standard, since I received intense vocal training for a career in radio and I was never gigged on accent issues. However, if I spend more than 2 days visiting relatives in West Virginia, I suddenly have a collection of extra syllables that appear in words.

I love men with Kentucky accents; the mellow timber always seems to make my heart beat faster.
