Okay; so apparently the Grand Canyon is on the list. What are the other six...lol? I'm seeing all kinds of lists out there and am not sure which one you are referring to.

Well, since she asked for one of the 7 natural wonders I'm thinking the old original 7 (don't know 'em all), but now there's new lists because I guess someone got tired of seeing the same 7.

Is Niagra Falls one? That's the most "exotic" place I've ever been, lol. (The Canadian side). Gotta say, though, it was pretty awesome! I went expecting it to be cheesey, you hear so much bunk about "the Falls," but when you're standing there it's magnificent.

I think the original list was old world...colossus of Rhodes (no longer extant)

Pyramids, hanging gardens of babylon..all based on tour books for Greeks in ancient times and most defunct.

per Wiki.

now CNN has named a modern 7 wonders

The Great Wall of China

• Petra in Jordan

• Brazil's statue of Christ the Redeemer

• Peru's Machu Picchu

• Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid

• The Colosseum in Rome

• India's Taj Mahal

Does it count if we've seen them on t.v. ????

I think the Temple at Sounion in Greece should be on 'the list'. Or, another well-known 'stone work' - Agammenon's Tomb ... both had kind of an 'other worldly' feel to them ... set in spectacular natural settings ... or the Temple at Delphi which is actually centred around a natural cave formation ... up in the hills ... spectacular amphitheatre ruins ...

I'm surprised too that St.Peters Bascilica isn't on the 'list', cuz surely it is as magnificent as the Taj Mahal.

Been to Chichen Itza. It's very cool. As is Tikal in Guatemala ...

Then there's this here lake ... one of the Great Lakes ... right outside my window .... WOW !!!
