Dear Diary,


I have been in a bit of a funk for the last few days. I think it is because I am tired of going to bed alone and getting up alone. It is not always easy for me to meet people. I think I am a good catch but I can't seem to find somone else who thinks I am.

DD -


Today is my brother's 40th birthday. Only problem is my brother is gone. I twill be 3 years in December. I took off work because I just didn't know how I would feel today and didn't want to be obligated to do anything. I go back and forth between mad/sad that he is gone to grateful to have had him inmy life as long as I did. He was so special to me and I was very blessed to know him.


Looks like I am going to meet my sister for lunch and then I may go see Righteous Kill by myself. I think it's a movie my brother would have liked to see.

Dear Diary,


Ok, I did it again. I accepted a date with someone I barely knew and it was awful. Now I have to figure out how to get out of seeing him again. Not only did he not understand half of what I was saying, he actually had the nerve to ask me what the words meant. It's not like I am a rocket scientist or anything. They were words like “condescending” and “antiquated”. I just can’t do it ….. been there, done that. Choosing my words based on whether I think he can spell them will be impossible. Unfortunately, I have never figured out how to tell someone he is an idiot. I will have to work on that.
