(Sorry if this ends up being a duplicate post, but didn't look like the first try worked!)
First off, I am 29 years old and one of my problems seems to be that I don't really have many guy friends. The high school/college friends are either married or it just seems I don't have much in common with them anymore..at least not enough to where we do things very often. Most of my closer friends these days are females. This just seems like a bit of a problem...maybe I just dont know how to handle it correctly..however, seems a little hard to meet someone when I'm constantly around a group of females.
This leads to my main question: when the people in this small group of friends have other plans (maybe family, or also a couple of them work on Friday and Saturday nights) and I feel like just going out somewhere...bar or whatever. Is it weird for someone to go out alone? Some people have mentioned not to do this because a guy hanging out by himself like that might appear to be a weirdo or something. I'm a pretty independent person so I don't mind doing things by myself. However, this can be a bit awkward especially since I'm pretty shy and often I won't see anyone I know when I go out places like that. What do you think? Anyone ponder this dilema?Thanks.
