I think Esther had Mommy issues and needs to spend some time on the couch!
Please don't even get me started on the selection of couches, let alone the issues... 
Children are manipulative. Cats are manipulative.
And those two should just be aborted prior to birth or drowned after, in case the before attempt is unsuccessful...
