I don't know. I think if he would have been allowed to choose Lieberman as his running mate, he would have won that puppy.
I could not disagree more. His days are even likely numbered in Connecticut. Changing parties puts you in no man's land for awhile & I cannot see how that would have worked out well.
I don't see any way that McCain could have beaten Obama but I also think that he would have lost to Hilary had she opposed him. The combination of Obama's popularity & lack thereof for the Repub party made it impossible for a repub victory IMO.
