I have to agree on the Northland, New Zealand spot. It rocks, and is a great choice for an exceptional romantic place on the planet. Nice suggestion Rob!

Santa Cruz is also excellent, particularly at sunrise or sunset. Surf's up dude (or dudette)!

I've not been to the other spots, and will have to check them out.

I guess I'll add anywhere in the countryside to view the stars with a clear sky. The Salsbury plains worked well, but the last time I visited there, you could still touch the stones at Stonehenge. A quick look at a website about astronomy will help you locate various constellations or planets, and makes for something to point out to your partner.
