This has kinda went off topic eh? Whole lotta bashing going on.
I think that lady in the article is really out of touch. Poverty CAN be a very hard cycle to break. She has lived the good life a little too long. Yes, it is important to teach children that it takes a job to acquire money to eat. Yes, there are people in the "system" that are abusing it and are completely capable or working. We need to try to identify those people and kick them off the free ride. I believe that some states are actually trying to do this. (I believe my home state of Indiana is actually TRYING, desperately, to force people to work.). However, we should NOT allow these people to ruin it for the folks that ACTUALLY do need the assistance. Just my 2 cents.
