Appearance, meaning proportions, is instantaneous. Her sense of style / general grooming takes quite a bit longer (as some people slack off when they get a steady partner and others don’t.)

I have dated women without having attraction at the beginning, and it never developed. I consider this one of the bigger mistakes I’ve made, actually.
