I also watched it on dvd and came back with this to say:
I think the movie was made by Mormons. The god presence was so thick throughout the film I could just see it being shown in every Sunday school class in the country. Not say this is bad, but watching it made me wonder if it was funded by some religious organization.
The woman only seemed to wake up and learn to forgive him after she found out that her husband spent a huge load of money for her. That's a red flag......with sparklers. Not to say it sends the message woman will forgive for the right price.
Computers are only good for porn, nothing else.
His father came across to me like someone on Prozac. eerily calm, always godly, if someone punched him he would shake their hand.......
If you had viewed the features and other portions of the DVD or read the credits for the film you would know that it had been produced by members of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA.
Early in the story Catherine made two decisions:
1) To divorce Caleb
2) To carry on a relationship with Dr. Keller behind Caleb's back.
Everything Catherine did after making these decisions was based on them. When she first thought Dr. Keller had paid for the the bed and W/C for her mom she became even more "committed" to him. It was only by the grace of God she didn't have an afair with him~!
To understand the story one needs to read
The Love Dare; some parts several times. Read Day 20, Day 23 and Day 28.
