It’s not too late to volunteer your time for a political cause you care about. In fact, your party would probably appreciate your support right about now. So go ahead and volunteer your time to make phone calls, register voters, or talk to people on the street about your candidate. In the process, you’ll not only meet like-minded, politically passionate individuals, but you’ll also have fun and possibly make a difference in what may just be the most important election of your savvy single life. So instead of hurrying home after work to watch the results from the comfort of your couch, put on an ensemble that makes you feel fab, recruit your single friends, and spend the evening in an environment where you’re more likely to meet like-minded singles. Organizations like MoveOn and the Young Republican National Federation should have information about where to find local election night viewing parties for your candidate. You can also check your local newspaper or community center for local viewing venues. Once at the gala, smile, mingle, and flirt with a cute stranger or two. Regardless of the election results, take advantage of the target-rich environment and have fun!
Get/Stay Involved in your Community
Your party participation doesn’t have to end when the election does. In fact, with a new administration in office, regardless of who wins, it’s the perfect time for you to get and stay actively involved in your community. Help organize party events on a local level, attend gatherings with your fellow politically active friends, and continue supporting the causes near and dear to your heart. In the process, you never know who you’ll meet or what impact they’ll have on your life. You could make some fantastic new friends, foster great career connections, or possibly find a new love.
