“I've never been married, though I was engaged once back in college ...but that ended back in 2001. I'll be completing my masters Dec. 2008. While I'd like to complete my ten years where I'm working at now (after I graduate it'll only be 2.5 years left)... for the right guy, I'd be willing to move before then.”
“I like to think of myself as mellow and friendly. I have solid priorities but respect people of all backgrounds. I've always been proud of the fact that I count among my friends conservatives, liberals, republicans, democrats. The variety can be a little challenging but also extremely rewearding. I feel very blessed!”
“A curious introvert. I've been around the world on mission trips and for work, but most weekends I prefer to sit home with my cats, a cup of coffee and a good book. I've worked as an Interpreter for the deaf in public schools, a robotics programmer, and a janitor. I absolutely hated English in school but now I write (one book of poetry finished and one fantasy novel looking for a publisher/agent.) I'm not good at creating art but I do appreciate it.”
New Feature: Getting Your Communication on the FastTrack
How do you like to communicate? Direct and Immediate? Slow and Easy? Our NEW Preferred Communication Feature lets everyone know your communication style.
The eHarmony guided communication system was constructed to help people get to know each other in a measured, deliberate manner. The various rounds of communication let users ask the kinds of big, important questions that may be difficult early in a dating situation.

But we know that many people become masters of online match communication. They feel confident and comfortable bypassing the guided process and moving straight to our open communication stage – where two users can freely and anonymously exchange messages. For those users we created the FastTrack.
The new Preferred Communication Feature lets you indicate to all your matches exactly which type of communication you prefer. When they reach out to communicate with you, they will see a large button letting them know that you’d rather FastTrack.
The Statistic to Remember
Users who choose FastTrack as their preferred communication style get double the FastTrack communication of those who do not.
On Your User Dashboard, click on the link Preferred Communication Type
Choose either Standard or FastTrack communication
Click SAVE AND CONTINUE
If you’d rather stay with the guided communication process, no action is needed. That choice is the default setting on your account. If you’re ready to pick up the pace…FastTrack may be the answer.
How to close a match cordially has been debated on this discussion board for a loong time. Fact of the matter is some people will take a close as no big deal and others will be offended because they take rejection personally no matter how nice the rejection is worded.
Hi everyone. Another addition should be the abilty to close a match with one of the options provided AND the ability to choose "good luck with your search" along with it... All of us are here for a reason and even though one of us has decided to close a match, at least we should have the option of saying something "friendly" as well...(example: I want to pursue other matches at eharmony, good luck with your search...) Anyone think this sounds better? Some of the options seem a little "cold" to me...
