Hi, the page with your post would not let me type in the comment box - so I hope this works. I have 2 thoughts. First and foremost - trust your *gut*! You sound like a woman with good intuition. Often we women try and rationalize things men do because we want to believe them. We do try and trust them and give them a chance to be a decent human being. But sadly - a lot of men simply are not decent human beings. I don't know enough about you or your situation to have a clear idea if this man is lying to you. But it sounds like you think he might be. Quite frankly - I'd go with that instinct. BUT - he has been married twice and he may (rightly so) be very wary of getting truly 'committed' to one woman again. I'm afraid I am not a patient person when it comes to the TRUTH - so I understand what you mean about being afraid of sabotaging the relationship. But my feeling is if being open and honest and telling the truth sabotages a relationship - I would not be happy with it in the long run anyway. So it's a difficult decision for you I know. You don't want to pressure the guy since there might be things going on that you don't know about. But - 5 months is a pretty long time. And I would want some answers. Only you can discern if what he tells you is the truth or an excuse. Also I agree with TrissyCat - regardless what kind of safe sex you're practicing (hopefully) - you need to be careful with this guy! I know some men that really don't think *it* can happen to them and have no qualms about bed hopping with no protection. Please be smart :)

Thought I'd leave you a message here. I get tested at the free health clinic in my state, every year for EVERYTHING, including HIV. It's either free, or $10, depending on what county I go to (cheaper than going to the doctor) and there are NO records. You might want to consider this. I have made the decision not to have sex before or if, I get married again... just a personal thing, as I am a Christian. But HIV can show up years later, and I'd rathr play it safe.
