Music: Alternative Rock, Blues TV Shows: Nurse Jackie, TrueBlood, In Treatment (yes, I'm an HBO fan), House, So You Think You Can Dance Canada, Big Bang Theory, Ghost Whisperer (one of my guilty pleasures - I know... it's not that well written or acted), The Daily Show; Also enjoy biographies, science, history and civilization programming Movies: Mama Mia, Uncle Buck, Christmas Vacation, Up, Donnie Darko, Snowdogs, You Don't Mess with the Zohan, The Spy Who Shagged Me, Gold Member, and the second one in the "Spy" series (can't remember the name...); Star Trek (the new one, but also liked the old ones); All the Matrix movies; Terminator movies; many others that I can't recall at this moment - I have to go look in my DVD collection... Books: Enjoy mostly non-fiction related to whatever I'm interested in at the time; in fiction: Small Change by Elizabeth Hay; some of the Harry Potter series; many others Quotes: Not really a quote, but a thought - you can quote ME if you like ;-) : Adults in general have forgotten how to actively play and thus stay healthy and fit. Instead, we trudge to gyms, use bikes and treadmills that go no-where, and do exercises that are repetitive (read.. boring) and that hurt. We want to stay fit, but why do it in a way we don't enjoy? Why not play instead? Ride your bike (outdoors), join an adult dance class for fun, walk a dog (ask to borrow someone's dog for a walk if need be - they will appreciate it!), swim (and not just endless lengths), hike as an adventure, join a badminton league or just play it with friends, play tennis, play hockey, play anything.... but most of all, have fun. More About Me: Used to dogsled race so I'm very knowledgeable and good with dogs; Am "overweight" (Oh HORRORS!) but active (see hobbies and interests.....). I am a vegetarian but don't judge/try to convert others -
