TV Shows: Iron Chef!, Dangerous Catch, Heroes, House Hunters, reruns of Whose Line..., Movies: Once, Bruce Almighty, 12 Monkeys, Shawshank Redemption, Twister, The Matrix (only the first one), The Ultimate Gift, Castaway, most of the Harry Potter movies (hey...my kids had an influence on me), Airplane... Books: Anything by Stephan Jay Gould, William Gibson, Michael Moore or Al Franken, any volume of the Darwin Awards or Imponderables, Fast Food Nation, Children's Blizzard....mostly non-fiction if you didn't notice.
