I was in contact with someone who supposedly was a father with a son who wanted to come here to the United States. I ignored the warning signs and ending up sending a total of $5300 to this man. None of which I'll see again. Women beware. There are men in other countries pretending to be someone else. Don't send funds under any circumstances. If someone asks you to do something you're not comfortable with, follow your instincts and run the other way.
