Introverts have been a misunderstood minority in a sea of extroversion. Introverts are not necessarily shy. In fact shyness has very little to do with being an introverted person. Introverts can be confident social people. The real difference between introverts and extroverts is that introverted people are energized by being alone and feel drained by being around other people, while extroverts get their energy from being around other people and feel drained when they are alone.
